Is the online degree program offered by JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) UGC entitled?

Yes, the University is entitled by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to offer online degree programs. Additionally, our MBA and MCA programs are approved by AICTE.

Do the Online Degrees have a validity period?

No. The Online Degree that you will receive from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is valid for lifetime.

Is there any difference in Degree Certificate issued for Online and On- Campus Programs?


Are the programs entirely online and do we have downloadable learing material?

Yes. Everything from application to convocation will be online and you can download the self- learning material from your Learning Management System.

What is the mode of learning?

You will have 24*7 access to self-learning material and pre-recorded lectures on our Learning Management System (LMS), which can be accessed on any device.

How many credits does the program have?

Undergraduate Program - 132 credits

Postgraduate Program -90 credits

(1 Credit = 30 Learning hours)

When will the live sessions be scheduled?

The live sessions are scheduled online, on Saturday and Sunday. The sessions will be held between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm (IST), a maximum of 6 hours per day. The week's schedule will be put up on the Learning Management System.

When should I choose the elective and can I change it at a later point in time?

Elective should be chosen at the time of admission. Once the final list of elective is announced as per the timeline indicated in the calendar of events, there is no provision to change the elective and/or the program.

In which semester will I begin to study elective courses?

For Under graduate programs, M.Com and MA programs in 1st semester.

MBA and MCA programs in 2nd semester.

Studying specialized courses right from the beginning of the program will help in better career planning.

Can I take the examination from anywhere?

Yes, online proctored examinations will be conducted.

Is attendance for live online sessions mandatory?

Not mandatory but essential. You are required to have a minimum participation of 75% in all the activities.

What is the maximum time for program completion?

All Under Graduate Programs- 6 years and all Post Graduate Programs - 4 years.

Can a student pursue two degree programs simultaneously?

Yes. According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), you can pursue an on-campus degree and an online degree simultaneously.

What is the medium of instruction?

English is the medium of instruction.
